Secret Recipes - French Toast Casserole

Ingredients
• ¼ cup butter
• ¾ cup brown sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 ½ cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
• Enough to sprinkle brown sugar, white sugar and cinnamon
• 1 loaf French bread sliced
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• Butter for spreading

Instructions
• Melt butter and add brown sugar – stir to mix
• Spread butter brown sugar mix on the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking pan
• Beat eggs, milk, vanilla and powdered sugar
• Lay down a layer of bread on top of brown sugar mix
• Ladle ½ egg mixture on bread
• Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped pecans
• Butter one side of remaining bread
• Lay down second layer of bread with butter side up
• Ladle remaining egg mixture
• Sprinkle white sugar and cinnamon
• Cover and refrigerate overnight
• Bake at 325⁰ for 45 minutes or until done
